zkLink, the infrastructure layer that makes it easier to move assets across blockchains, today launched the public Nova mainnet, the first Aggregated Layer 3 zkEVM rollup network leveraging zkSync’s ZK Stack.
Addressing critical issues such as liquidity fragmentation, multi-chain dApp development complexity, and siled assets and applications, zkLink Nova’s Aggregated Layer 3 Rollup provides a comprehensive solution.
Mainnet’s integration with key Layer 2s, including Arbitrum, Linea, Manta, Mantle, and zkSync, establishes a connectivity layer that enhances liquidity and asset transfers across the Ethereum ecosystem.
Vince Yang, CEO and co-founder of zkLink, said: “This is beneficial to both zkLink and the broader Ethereum ecosystem as dApps have access to wider liquidity and more users, potentially opening up exciting new use cases for existing L2 assets. “It represents an important milestone.”
The integration of Layer 2 and zkLink Nova represents a joint effort towards a more integrated and efficient blockchain ecosystem. The universal architecture of zkLink Nova Aggregated Layer 3 allows developers to more efficiently build, deploy, and scale dApps using Solidity smart contracts.
The Nova Aggregated Layer 3 environment eliminates the need for bridges and gas fees, reducing security risks and improving user experience. By incorporating ZK proof, the network provides Ethereum-level security by ensuring that all transactions are confirmed before being processed.
“The Nova Aggregated Layer 3 mainnet leverages Linea as the primary rollup for ZK proof verification via zkLink’s Nexus payment layer technology. Secure, EVM-equivalent, and cost-effective, Nova leverages Linea’s ZK-Rollup to provide faster multi-chain state synchronization and hard finality settled on the Ethereum network,” said Linea Product Lead, Declan Fox.
Users can deposit assets into zkLink Nova’s integrated platform to seamlessly trade or interact with the dApp ecosystem.
The launch of zkLink’s Nova mainnet follows the company’s successful $10 million strategic funding round last year, which included participation from high-profile investors such as Coinbase Ventures.
