More cast members have joined Netflix’s The Witcher for its upcoming fourth season. This season will be the first to feature Liam Hemsworth as Geralt following Henry Cavill’s departure.
As Variety reports, Season 4 will add Sharlto Copley (District 9), James Purefoy (Rome), and Danny Woodburn (Seinfeld) to the cast.
Copley plays bounty hunter Leo Bonhart, while Purefoy plays the spy Skellen. Woodburn plays the dwarf Zoltan.
Season 4 returns Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Freya Allan as Ciri. Joey Batey also returns to play Jaskier, while Laurence Fishburne joins the cast as Regis.
The story synopsis for season 4 of The Witcher is as follows:
“Following the shocking, continent-changing events that concluded Season 3, the new season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri as they face traversing a war-torn continent and the many demons within it. If they can embrace and lead the Misfits As part of the group, they survive the baptism of fire and have a chance to find each other again.”
A release date for The Witcher Season 4 has not yet been announced, but production is reportedly set to begin early this year. As for the video game series, CD Projekt is currently working on The Witcher 4, which is expected to enter production later this year.
