The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has released a new trailer, which gives us our first look at Zelda in her swordsman form. In swordsman form, Zelda turns blue and begins stabbing villains with her Da Ba Di Da Ba Di, depicting her battle against purple.
There isn’t much time left until the game’s release – literally next month on September 26th – so it’s nice that Nintendo has given those who have been desperately hoping to see Zelda star in the game a bit more information, in addition to the previously released trailer for the game.

You can watch the new trailer below. Here’s a short summary of what I’ve done: the king gets eaten by a purple rift, Zelda isn’t happy, Zelda does platforming, Zelda turns blue and kills things in gladiator form, Zelda meets a guy who creates little robot things for her to fight until they break, an edited version of Zelda creating things, and a splash ending.
And here’s what Nintendo has to say about the most important new feature here: Gladiator form: “During her adventures, Zelda discovers a mysterious sword that allows her to briefly transform into a powerful gladiator form, allowing her to fight enemies head-on!” It doesn’t mention that she turns blue, but it does mention that she picks up the sword, which is basically a brief power-up.
This sword can also be used to smash down barriers blocking Zelda’s path. Oh, and you can collect energy from the Steel World to refill the gauge. It is currently unknown whether that energy comes from the aliens in the 1999 Europop music video.
Are you looking forward to turning blue in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, da ba di da ba di? Let us know below!
