Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung-tae has announced that Stellar Blade, developer ShiftUp’s upcoming action game, will get a New Game+ mode sometime after release. Additionally, Tae said there will be no microtransactions in the game, with one theoretical exception.
This news comes from a new interview with a Korean publication. RuliwebHere, Tae explained that Stellar Blade will get a New Game+ mode at some point, but it won’t be available at launch. Genki_JPN on Twitter. Taehyung also said Ruliweb Players shouldn’t expect microtransactions in Stellar Blade, but he notes that one exception is paid collaborations with other companies’ IPs.
“We want to be clear at this point that Stellar Blade does not require any additional costs that gamers are unaware of beyond what they paid for the package,” Tae said. Ruliweb. “The only exception is if you are creating a collaboration costume with another company’s IP, which may be sold for a fee. Also, there is no New Game+ in the released version, so please look forward to an update soon.”
Given that no collaborations have been announced at this point, it’s likely Tae is checking the grounds for a hypothetical collaboration that ShiftUp may or may not pursue. In any case, considering ShiftUp’s Goddess of Victory: NIKKE game is popular on mobile devices, it’s likely we’ll see some internal collaboration between these two properties.
