Silicon Valley startup Alef Aeronautics Elon Musk’s support for SpaceXis taking a step closer to the flying car industry with Model A. $300,000 2-seater vehicle. The company has garnered significant interest since the Model A became available for reservations in October 2022, boasting over 2,850 pre-orders. A $150 deposit secures a potential buyer’s reservation, while a $1,500 deposit grants priority in the delivery queue.
Model A is an all-electric flying car with a range of 200 miles and a flight range of approximately 110 miles. Alef Aeronautics envisions it as a utility vehicle that can operate on the road, take off vertically when needed, and navigate the sky to avoid traffic jams. The Federal Aviation Administration approved test flights in July.We have achieved a milestone for Model A.
CEO and Co-Founder Jim Dukhovny Alef Aeronautics said deliveries of the Model A are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025. The startup has already accumulated $250 million in pre-orders as of July, and if all 2,850 reservations are realized, Alef Aeronautics could potentially generate more than $850 million in revenue.
A cheaper option will be available in 2035.
