Last week, Samsung announced that it was working with Google to bring Circle to Search to the Galaxy A series. First released on the Galaxy S24, the Circle to feature has quickly become one of the most popular features among Samsung fans.
Meanwhile, Circle to Feature has evolved to improve usability, adding QR and barcode scanning capabilities, homework help, and full-page translation. Google recently added Shazam-like music recognition, which wasn’t available on Samsung Galaxy devices.
Fortunately, that is about to change, as many Samsung Galaxy users are discovering that Circle to Search’s new music search feature is now available on their phones. Redditor Samsung AmateurA few screenshots were posted to Reddit, which confirm that the new music recognition feature is available on Samsung devices with Circle to Search and Google app version 15.32.37.28 installed.

But there is one big problem. Not all Samsung users who use the same version of the Google app and Circle to Search have music recognition. This seems to be a server-side activation, so even if you get a new update to the Google app, it may not include the new feature.
The Reddit user who posted the screenshot is using a Galaxy S23, which would seem to be one of the first Samsung phones to feature music recognition, but there’s no reason to believe it’s the only one.
Samsung recently added Circle to Search to its mid-range phones and tablets, including the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy Tab S9 FE. Along with Samsung’s top-end Galaxy phones and tablets that already have Circle to Search, it’s safe to say that all of these will soon be getting music recognition.
