Speaker 1: Hello. This is Bridget from CES 2024. Well, actually, I’m a hologram Bridget, and I’m the real Bridget over there. Speaker 2: CES is both wonderful and strange. Covering the world’s largest technology trade show can lead to many strange situations. Speaker 1: Listen a little more. We are doing a thorough review of this product here. Speaker 2: For me, the best thing about coming here is finding something quirky, cool, and unusual, like drone soccer. [00:00:30] This is a reality for international teams and rules. This is the Federation of International Drone Football Associations. Or perhaps we should call this drone a Quidditch bathroom mirror. Now, AI is teaching you how to scan you and fix your face like Barra Cota’s bee mind mirror. Speaker 1: Prominent bags under the eyes. no. no. wow. Speaker 2: AI applies to everything, even toothbrushes. [00:01:00] Oh Clean While you brush your teeth, you communicate through your bones. Speaker 1: This is what I just said. Speaker 2: To me, Speaker 1: It’s too much pressure. Speaker 2: They say it provides feedback right on the touch screen, and by giving this brush to the child, parents can get a report on what they’re missing. There have also been innovations that make life more enjoyable. Some of my favorites this week are these machines. It’s called Nimble. Paint your nails. Our amazing producer Muriel Myers [00:01:30] They gave us a demo. I was impressed that the quick manicure came out so neatly. Scan your finger. A small robotic arm then paints the nails with a small bottle of paint. A quick application with one finger took about 2 minutes, but if you apply the base and top coat with a full hand, it takes about 45 minutes for both hands. The machine costs $600. I could spend all day testing the Cold Snap ice cream machine. Looks like a Keurig [00:02:00] It’s a machine, but for ice cream, you just put the can in the machine and freeze it for 90 seconds, and you get delicious food. Speaker 1: Okay. This is my first alcoholic ice cream with bourbon. yes. great. good night. I usually don’t like bourbon, but this is really delicious, and I heard that it can get greasy if you eat too much. So you know Speaker 2: It’s not suitable for your house. This is for places like airport lobbies. [00:02:30] Or a car dealership waiting room, or a university somewhere. It’s a common area. A place where you can get a cold snack on the spot without having to clean anything up. This right here has made me the happiest I’ve been in the entire show, and I think I need to buy one right away. Plant Pets are robotic planters that turn ordinary houseplants into interactive creatures. Sensors in the soil provide capacitive contact to the leaves. So when you pet your pet or talk to it [00:03:00] When you approach a plant, it responds by shaking slightly, moving, turning, and even making animal sounds. It tells you when you’re thirsty. There is a version that puts flowers in a vase. This will make a lot of people laugh and the price is reasonable. It costs $40 for a small pot. Aw, it’s so cute. Hyundai Motor Company’s Beyond concept car, how cool is it? The wheel spins. eCorner steering technology allows the vehicle to move in any direction. Wheels can be specified independently. that much [00:03:30] The team said work could be completed in 2025, at which point the technology could begin to be applied to future cars. We want to ease the pain caused by parallel parking. Not everything has to be big to matter at CES. Sometimes the best technique is having a little fun.
