Austin St. John, an actor famous for playing the original Red Ranger in the 90s TV series. ‘Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangersannounced plans to launch a new clothing line featuring quotes from historical figures, including “villains” like Adolf Hitler.
March 12th, St. John posted his plans on Twitter. is launching a new line of t-shirts that will explore ‘history’s leaders’ using ‘wearable wisdom’ (aka shirts with words on them). “I’m blending lessons from the past into a line of unique t-shirts,” St. John said in his post. “From heroes to villains, every quote tells a story. This is more than fashion. It’s a conversation starter.” The tweet included a photo of Gandhi. Checking the answers will show fans that St. You can see me asking John not to include any Hitler quotes. According to a previous podcast appearance, this appears to be the plan for a new line of historical t-shirts.
On the February 26th broadcast Tun’d In with Jim Cummings podcastThe former Red Ranger actor, who has been making headlines recently, shared more about his upcoming ‘Wearable Wisdom’ clothing line, saying he is building a ‘Warrior line’ about history.
“I will have famous quotes from all kinds of warriors, including the terrible ones,” St. Petersburg said. John said. “Hitler was a devil on steroids, but he had some pretty good one-liners. So everyone, from the great to the infamous and terrible.”
The idea, says St. John, is “to look at good and bad leaders of the past and take what you can from them.” In the same podcast, St. John said it also included quotes from Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee. According to the actor, Norris was someone he admired and “One of the last true gentlemen out there.”
Honestly, including Norris’ stupid quote isn’t a big deal. But the internet and many St. John’s fans have called on the actor to stop quoting Hitler, the man responsible for the deaths of millions of Jewish men, women and children, on his line of stupid T-shirts.
his ex Power Rangers Pink Ranger co-star Amy Jo Johnson shared her thoughts on the situation on Twitter. First word: “hmm? I think some people need to have a publicist. Dear me.” She then made it clear who she was talking about. Follow-up tweet on March 12th, “Rogue Red Ranger takes on a whole new meaning. Okay, I’ll stop now.”
As of this writing, St. John has not addressed the concerns, and the clothing line is not yet available for purchase or pre-order through his website.
