Microsoft has released a special new Fallout controller from Vault for the Xbox Design Lab. The $85 pad, available to create starting today, includes a unique collage of Vault Boy icons, including Easter eggs, and franchise-specific colors.
You can start creating your Fallout controller with four different themes on the Xbox Design Lab website. Options are Vault Dweller, Brotherhood, Pip-Boy, and Mutant. The covers are the same, but the buttons, triggers, and D-pad sport colors to match the theme. For example, the mutant option gives you a green thumbstick, while the Brotherhood gives you a red D-pad.
Microsoft also added that the upgrade is also available for the new Fallout controller. The pad can be enhanced with rubber grips, metal triggers, and D-pads along with personalized engraving.
Last month, Bethesda revealed the Fallout Special Anthology Edition, a new PC bundle containing seven games from the franchise and some cool collectibles. The collection is scheduled to arrive on April 11th. It happened to be the day before the Fallout TV series was released on Amazon Prime Video.
Earlier this month, executive producer Jonathan Nolan compared making Fallout to creating Batman alongside his brother Christopher Nolan in the Dark Knight trilogy. Jonathan Nolan said, “In my career, Fallout is the closest thing we’ve done with a Batman adaptation. There’s so much storytelling in the Batman universe that there’s no standard version, so you’re free to create your own.” .
The Fallout TV series will focus on Vault 33, located in the Los Angeles area. For more information, check out everything we know about the Fallout show.
