London-based Metaview, an AI-powered interview note-taking platform for recruiters, announced on Thursday that it had secured $7 million (about 6.4 million euros) in a new funding round led by Plural.
Coelius Capital and existing investors Vertex Ventures US, Seedcamp, and Village Global, as well as famous angels such as Kyle Parrish (VP of Sales at Figma) and Barney Hussey-Yeo (Co-founder of Cleo) also participated.
The UK company will use the funds to accelerate product development and grow its team, including tripling its engineering team over the next 18 months.
Hiring decisions are critical, but the process has remained the same for decades. Taking notes and writing feedback wastes time, requires more objectivity, and a bad hire costs three times your salary.
Metaview is applying AI to change this and increase efficiency at scale.
Metaview: Automatically creates interview notes for recruiters.
Founded in 2018 by former Uber product lead Siadhal Magos (CEO) and former Palantir engineering lead Shahriar Tajbakhsh (CTO), Metaview leverages AI to capture conversations throughout the hiring process to create a single source of truth for hiring teams. Create.
Metaview automates recording, analysis, and goal summary creation, reducing the burden of recruiting management and saving your team at least 20 hours per hire.
Metaview says its platform allows recruiters and hiring managers to focus on quality interactions with candidates and make informed, objective decisions based on data, not just memory.
“Recruitment is driven by human-to-human conversations, but until now it has been impossible to capture and operationalize data from these critical interactions,” said Siadhal Magos, CEO of Metaview. With Metaview, thousands of companies are leveraging this data through our AI-powered platform, saving time from busy work and applying the insights we generate to help teams hire the right candidates. We’re excited to partner with Plural to drive the next phase of growth and enable more companies to fundamentally improve their recruiting workflows and decisions.”
Metaview features a fine-tuned Large Language Model (LLM) to gather insights within recruiting conversations. This data can then be integrated into existing workflows to streamline the hiring process and help your team make better decisions.
Over the past year, Metaview’s customer base has grown 2000% within the AI HR Tools market and is expected to grow to $6.18 billion by 2024.
The company currently partners with leading brands such as Brex, Quora, Pleo, and Improbable on their global recruiting practices.
Shahriar Tajbakhsh, CTO of Metaview, says: “We are excited to partner with Plural as we continue to reimagine our recruiting ontology from first principles. By placing conversations at the core of our platform, we are leveraging cutting-edge AI to operationalize the latent context within these interactions. This allows us to build AI agents that power and automate recruiting workflows in ways previously unimaginable.”

Metaview is making hiring decisions better, faster and more objective. By doing this, we are creating improved outcomes and contributing to a more equitable workplace by eliminating the pervasive bias that plagues most hiring processes.”
