Today’s Xbox Partner Preview features 14 games in 30 minutes. Some of the games were new, some were long forgotten, some were newly released, and so on. Below is a brief summary of everything that was announced.
Unknown 9: Awakening – Summer 2024
First announced at Gamescom 2020, the supernatural third-person action game has shown its first signs of life in over three years with its first gameplay trailer. It stars Haroona, a woman with supernatural powers that she uses to fight enemies throughout Indian cities. You can find out more here.
Dexterity – 2025
This third-person stealth-focused noir deckbuilder is directly inspired by Metal Gear Solid. You can find out more here.
Alters – 2024
We’ve learned that 11bit Studios’ body-cloning sci-fi adventure, in which a miner must survive on a hostile planet by creating multiple versions of himself, is coming to Game Pass this year. The first gameplay trailer is also out. You can find out more here.
Creatures of Ava – 2024
Co-written by Rhianna Pratchett, acclaimed scribe and lead author of Tomb Raider/Rise of the Tomb Raider, Creatures of Ava is an empathy-based action-adventure game about saving a planet from annihilation by taming and protecting creatures. – Threatening infections.
Griefville
Typically kid-friendly Roblox has received a mature update in the form of the horror-themed Griefville: Survive the Nightmare. This new update kicks off with the murderous arrival of Chucky.
Sinking City 2 – 2025
Frogwares’ The Sinking City will get an encore performance next year. The Lovecraftian survival horror game takes place in Arkham, a twisted version of 1920s America. Sinking City 2 is set to release on PS5, Xbox Series
STALKER Legends of the Zone Trilogy – Available Now
GSC Game World has remastered the original STALKER trilogy for Xbox One (and Series X/S with backward compatibility). The $39.99 collection includes Shadow of Chornobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Prypiat. Each game can also be purchased individually for $19.99.
Monster Jam: Showdown – 2024
Monster truck fans have a new Monster Jam racing title to look forward to this year. At launch, Showdown boasts 66 official Monster Jam trucks and 10 game modes, including freestyle and off-road solo racing or competing against others online and in local split-screen.
Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass – 2024
Many of us are likely still going through a Persona 3 reload, but our stay has been extended thanks to the Expansion Pass. Released in three waves throughout the year, the pass adds the fan-favorite Persona 3 FES epilogue, Episode Aigis – The Answer (September), as well as a new music set and Velvet costume. The First Berserker: Kazan
The upcoming single-player action game set in the Dungeons and Fighters universe has featured yet another impressive bit of gameplay. Unfortunately, there is no release window yet.
Tales of Kenzera: Wide – April
Ahead of its April 23 release, Tales of Kenzera: Zau has put together an in-depth gameplay walkthrough that showcases the side-scrolling action game’s mechanics.
Frostpunk 2 – July 25
A new trailer for Frostpunk 2 reveals that the game will be coming to PC Game Pass when it launches on July 25th. The game will also be released on console (and Xbox Game Pass) at a later date.
Final Fantasy XIV for Xbox – March 21
Final Fantasy XIV launches in full on Xbox on March 21st. The popular MMO is currently playable in beta on the platform, and its launch comes ahead of the summer release of the game’s next expansion, Dawntrail. You can find out more here.
Kunitsugami: Path of the Goddess – 2024
First announced last summer, this colorful Capcom title combines sophisticated swordplay with real-time strategy elements. You’ll fight supernatural monsters, rescue villagers, use resources to strengthen your village and defend it from invading beasts at nightfall. You can find out more here.
