The back is made of metal and includes mounting slots and three ports on one bottom edge. The ports are a power port, a 10GB POE++ port for network connection, and a 10GB pass-through port for connecting other network devices.
Assembly, installation, setup
Setting up the EnGenius Cloud Managed 4x4x4 Indoor Tri-Band WiFi 7 Access Point is a simple process of equipping it, then connecting it to your network and managing it using Engenius Cloud. As shown below. I just attached the wall mount to the wall and connected the access point. Of course, I connected an Ethernet cable to the POE port on the back of the AccessP and the other end to a Zyxel Networks XS1930-12HP multi-gigabit switch with ports up to 10G.
You can watch a previously recorded video about the EnGenius ECS1528P Cloud Managed Switch to get an idea of how to add the device to the EnGenius Cloud dashboard.
The photo below shows the AP mounted on the wall and the LED colors from power on until setup is complete.
Performance
The EnGenius Cloud Managed 4x4x4 Indoor Tri-Band WiFi 7 Access Point integrates easily into the EnGenius Cloud and dashboard. As you can see in the photo below, I have several EnGenius network devices on my network, which is slowly becoming a full EnGenius network.
When testing wireless speeds between a phone and an existing EnGenius ECW220S cloud-managed Wi-Fi 6 secure access point, it reaches between 350MBps and 650MBps.
With this WiFi 7 access point, you will get around 1.2Gbps consistently.
