examine – I recently had the good fortune of reviewing the FUNTOK Kid’s Electric Ride On car. There were a lot of things we liked about it, but there were some drawbacks, such as the size of the car (it took up a third of the car bay in our compact car). 2 car garage). My little one is also smaller than average and will have a good year before he can reach the steering wheel with his seatbelt on, and he is at a developmental stage where he wants more control, so I was offered to review the Droyd Zypster Kids Electric Go. A cart seemed like a great option. It also looked very fun.
What is that?
The Droyd Zypster Kids Electric Go Kart is a compact electric go-kart designed for children ages 3 to 6 (or up to 120 pounds). It has a parent switch with a key that limits speed to 3 mph or 6 mph, adjustable backrest position, and up to 45-minute/3-mile rides.

Design and Features
The Droyd Zypster Kids Electric Go Kart has a classic go-kart shape. It’s a simple seat with a steering wheel where your right foot rests and a “gas” pedal.
The red switch switches between forward and reverse driving modes. The layout seems good. My child didn’t accidentally change position while riding (feet were on either side).
The four wheels are made of plastic, the front two serve as steering and the rear two are connected to the motor.
The steering wheel (yoke?) is designed to be held with both hands for steering and additional stability. The length of the steering wheel column is adjustable and is spaced and securely fixed. I think it will work well when my child gets older, but I wish the angle could be adjusted. It’s a little tall now (but it’s a little smaller than my normal size for my minimum age, so it’s likely to outgrow, so it’s just fine).
At the front (see above) you can see the steel steering elements and front grab bar (great for transporting the go-kart or for hanging on the wall for storage). The entire body is sturdy with a bit of flex, the steel frame inspires confidence and the plastic body is great for sitting on and protecting the interior.
On the back is the power button and speed limit key switch (red for top speed of 6 mph, green for 3 mph). The LED indicates power status when lit, and the LED strips on the back and sides also light up. In particular, it lacks a headlight, so if you want night riding capabilities, you’ll need to attach a bike light, etc. The rear LED also acts as a battery level indicator, which is a nice touch.
The charging is located in the back left corner and is protected by a small plug.
It takes approximately 5 hours to fully charge and provides up to 45 minutes of use time when fully charged.
Assembly, installation, setup
Assembly of the Droyd Zypster Kids Electric Go Kart is very easy with just a bolt-on installation on the steering wheel.
…and a small cover that is installed after lifting the steering wheel column from the flat shipping position. Two screws aren’t bad, but I wish they were easier to remove. It would be nice if the steering column could be folded down for storage. It takes up less space, especially when hung on the wall.
Finally, insert the backrest into one of three positions (depending on your child’s height and preferred sitting style). Even though my child is young, he preferred second place. This doesn’t lock down as securely as I’d hoped, I would have expected more of a click lock based on the nubs on the seat back pegs, but no matter how much pressure I apply, it stays in place on the unit through friction alone. You can also check to see if there are any areas you need to add screws or drill holes in later. This is because you can see this part sticking out while driving. My guess is that low tolerances or problems with the plastic body mold mean that the holes where the nub should “lock” are either overfilled with plastic or misaligned.
Performance
I was impressed by Droyd’s balance of fun and safety with the Zypster Electric Kids Go Kart. My child absolutely loves driving around the local park with it and has a big smile on his face every time he does so. At the same time, the low speed limit settings are very tame. He hasn’t crashed into anything yet, sudden starts and stops don’t sting him too much and even if he does hit something I’m not worried at 3 mph that he’ll get more than a bruise or light scratch. His focus has yet to use the full battery life on any outing. After about 10 minutes he usually wants to visit the ducks or go to the playground, so that’s enough for now.
The go-kart was easy to load into the back of a small SUV and take to the park. On his first ride, we attached a strap to the front bumper and physically pulled the cart left or right if he veered off the road. Now he is getting better at steering, but until he masters the concept the strap solution is working fine.
What I Love About the Droyd Zypster Kids Electric Go Kart
- It looks pretty safe for a go-kart, but it has a good balance of fun.
- UL Listed Lithium-Ion Batteries – Some children’s toys these days have questionable batteries.
- Adjustable seat and wheels, as well as parent speed control, will ensure years of use.
- It’s light enough to carry and hang on a wall mount with a steel front bumper.
What needs to be improved?
- Maybe it’s my review unit, but the seat doesn’t lock in as tightly as I’d like (or as you can visually tell from the design of the seat pegs).
- It would be nice if the steering column could be easily folded for storage/transport.
- It would be nice to have front headlights for better visibility.
final thoughts
As much as we love the FUNTOK Jeep style electric vehicle we previously reviewed, the Droyd Zypster Kids Electric Go Kart surpasses it as a ride-hailing option for our toddlers. It’s easier to transport and store, gives you much more control at its current size, and will grow with it in the years to come. The large park near our house, which is usually mostly empty, would become home for our young racer. Practice on these curved roads to perfect your racing lines and one day become the next F1 champion.
