How to Get Gigantus I Hardly Knew Ye Achievement in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The Gigantus achievement you didn’t know about has the description: “Defeat Gigantus in a short amount of time.” This may seem like a tall order, considering that this giant walking statue is quite a challenge.
This activity occurs late in the game after completing the quest titled A New Godsway. When you exit the magically sealed doorway south of Bakbattahl, a cutscene will begin where Gigantus emerges from the sea. It will slowly walk to the volcanic island of Agamen and amble to capture Paisus and his companions.
memo: The “normal” method of defeating Gigantus requires the player to destroy several crystals protruding from Gigantus’ body. This can be done by (a) climbing up its body and limbs and attacking the crystals with a melee weapon, or (b) shooting the crystals with a ballista. But this whole process takes time. By the time Gigantus is defeated, you’ll find that he’s already halfway across the island.
If you sit around or take too long, there is no way to earn the trophy. This is where Unmaking Arrow comes into play.
