Bucharest, Romania, March 28, 2024: atlas butterflya pioneer in AI-based navigation, has unveiled Drive2Earn 2.0, which aims to overtake Tesla as the market leader in capturing and analyzing massive amounts of data from dashcams and enhances rewards for drivers.
The app, which has now been downloaded more than 700,000 times globally, incentivizes drivers to capture footage by paying them NAVI tokens. Footage is analyzed locally on a smartphone or dedicated Atlas Miner device (soon to be available globally) using proprietary computer vision AI algorithms.
The introduction of the new NAVI hardware device, called “Atlas Miner,” comes with several major changes to NAVI’s Drive2Earn model. When connected to a dashcam, the device records and analyzes video of the road ahead to determine what affects traffic (number and speed of cars in each lane, road construction zones, available parking spaces, police cars, road closures, potholes, etc.) detects. . Optionally stores the video in the cloud to help better train AI algorithms based on the driver’s decisions.
Currently, participating drivers can save up to 25% on gas. But the launch of Drive2Earn 2.0 gives loyal users the opportunity to save even more, while helping others avoid traffic hotspots and stay safe on the roads.
The newly revealed rare Boost NFT allows owners to receive 50% more rewards than before and a 37.5% discount on gas prices at gas stations. Meanwhile, incentives for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto users are doubled, with savings of up to 75% on gas.
A new partnership with OMV/Petrom, Romania’s largest gas station chain with 560 branches, will allow drivers to exchange NAVI tokens for gas vouchers that give them money when they fill up their cars. We provide an additional 10% of the fuel price. Overall, this can reduce tank costs by 85%.
George Grama, founder and CEO of Atlas Navi, said: “More than 150,000 drivers use our app every day and we are determined to put money back in their pockets. Countries around the world have seen their cost of living skyrocket in recent years, but downloading Atlas Navi can help turn the price around on gasoline.”
To date, we’ve driven more than 150 million miles using Atlas Navi, averaging an incredible 46 minutes of in-app time per day.
leading the way
Many major automakers collect driving data, but drivers often do not benefit from or compensate for the insights. BMW and Mercedes use cameras to detect potential collisions, but this information is not uploaded to servers to train AI-based self-driving models, and drivers are not compensated for generating that data.
NAVI’s user base means it is currently the second-largest self-driving AI data collector after Tesla, and is likely to become the largest by next year with the launch of Drive2Earn 2.0. That’s because the Atlas Navi app and a new hardware device less than half the size of a smartphone are available for use in all vehicles as an aftermarket add-on. Several top automotive brands have already expressed interest in accessing Atlas Navi’s anonymized data.
Dashcams are part of a rapidly growing market. Figures show that there will be more than 22.5 million devices in operation as of 2022, and the number is expected to increase by 2020. 78.4 million people by 2032. Drivers can receive significant discounts on insurance premiums, they can collect evidence in the event of an accident, and they are increasingly being fitted as standard on vehicles.
Real use cases
For end users, Atlas Navi’s AI navigation app is about more than just cost savings. This saves valuable time on long journeys or in crowded cities.
Deploying artificial intelligence enables state-of-the-art routing, with Atlas Navi analyzing roads 25 times per second. As a result, it generates 100 times more data per mile than other leading navigation apps that rely on drivers manually reporting traffic problems, immediately directing users away from problem areas.
It also offers a variety of safety benefits. Atlas Navi allows drivers to securely live stream their trips so family and friends can track their progress. Large groups heading to the same destination in multiple vehicles can also monitor each other’s locations to address common challenges.
Atlas Navi saves you money in other ways too. Driving Score allows drivers to improve their driving style and opens up the possibility of securing insurance at a more competitive price if their driving behavior is deemed safe.
Meanwhile, the app not only provides notifications whenever your insurance renewal expires, but also alerts you when it’s time for an inspection or when your road tax is due. This helps protect the value of your vehicle while reducing the hassle associated with vehicle maintenance.
Drivers can have a little fun too. All vehicles connected to Atlas Navi are represented as non-fungible tokens, complete with beautiful 3D illustrations.
George Grama, CEO of Atlas Navi, added: “Atlas Navi has had an incredible journey since we first began building our groundbreaking AI infrastructure in 2020. Another achievement was receiving $1.6 million in funding from the European Union through an AI Innovation Grant. It’s an important milestone for us. Going forward, we are determined to integrate our technology directly into vehicle production lines for the consumer market, making our innovative products available to more drivers themselves.”
With Drive2Earn 2.0, Atlas Navi unveils powerful artificial intelligence use cases that can take the world’s driving economy to the next level and benefit everyone.
Introduction to Atlas Navi
atlas butterfly is a navigation app that rewards drivers with NAVI tokens in exchange for driving data captured through dashcam footage and analyzed by the company’s AI computer vision algorithms.
