What’s new in iOS 17.5 beta so far?

The first developer preview of iOS 17.5 was released on April 2, 2024. This update comes alongside similar releases for iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.
After installing the first beta, we haven’t noticed any obvious new features yet, but our code sleuths have taken a closer look at the update and, if all goes well, have discovered some major improvements that will arrive with the official release of iOS 17.5. Apple released iOS 17.4 as the latest major update for iPhone on March 5, 2024.
This update includes several new features and improvements, and the most notable change is one of the biggest changes the App Store has ever seen. When iOS 17.4 is released, Apple will give iPhone owners in the European Union the option to install apps from third-party app stores in addition to the Apple App Store.

Apple released iOS 17.3 on January 22, 2024.
The update included general bug fixes and performance improvements, along with an entirely new feature called Stolen Device Protection. When enabled (which it obviously should be), Theft Device Protection prevents potential thieves from changing your iCloud account password, even if they watch and remember your phone’s password entry. Collaborative playlists for Apple Music and the long-awaited AirPlay support for hotels have also been enabled (although no hotels officially support this feature yet).

Improvements to Messages and Journal apps
Apple released iOS 17.2 on December 11, 2023.
