This virtual gathering will bring together entrepreneurship educators from around the world who are applying lean innovation in classrooms, accelerators, venture studios, and student-driven ventures.
The theme of the summit is “Education and innovation in an era of chaos and confusion.”
Our students will face the challenges of a rapidly changing, confusing and uncertain world. It is a world experiencing climate change, supply chain disruptions, political instability, and ongoing technological innovation and disruption. It is our duty as educators to provide the next generation of innovators with the tools and mindset to meet these challenges.
The questions we will address in this short summit are:
- As entrepreneurship and innovation educators, how can we best prepare the next generation?
- What role should our institutions play in this regard?
- What other systems and partnerships should we leverage?
Conduct synchronous breakout sessions so participants can choose their own path of exploration. We’ll then turn to hear from our colleagues across three broad categories of innovation.
- procedure – Discuss how best to provide educators with the tools they need to nurture and guide student teams around mission-driven problem solving.
- ecosystem – We will explore ways to support partnerships and diversity of thought and background that engage and inform positive student engagement and outcomes.
- Trends – The pace of technological disruption shows no signs of slowing. Climate change may have been a hypothesis for our generation, but it will be a fact on the ground for our students. The struggle between great powers and a fluid global environment will accelerate. All of this will shape the future curriculum our students need and educators must provide.
Alexander Osterwalder, creator of the Business Model Canvas and co-founder of Strategyzer, will join the discussion on the intersection of education, innovation and entrepreneurship.
During breakout sessions, you will have the opportunity to participate in the conversation through chat, Q&A, and an online community bulletin board. We’ll conclude the summit with a fireside chat with Alex Osterwalder moderated by Dr. Jerry Engel.
